and Cooperation

The Institute pays special attention
to the communication and cooperation with academic circles
both at home and abroad. Our senior advisors include famous
economists Professor Jiang Xuemo and Professor Chen Guanlie.
Meanwhile, we actively develop our relation with countries
and regions with advanced insurance industry. In 1996, AXA/NM-Fandan
insurance Research Center was established through joint
efforts of our Institute and AXA, one of the largest insurance
companies in the world. Replying on the strong research
strength of Fudan and making full use of the abundant practical
experience of AXA/NM, the center aims at strengthening the
combination of research and practice so as to contribute
to the rapid and sound development of China's insurance
industry. Besides, every year the Institute assigns member
to visit the insurance markets in Europe and U.S. to learn
the most up-to-date tendency and development in the international
insurance circle, a practice proved to be effective.
The Institute is also fully aware of the importance of
the application of insurance theory into practice. Twice
a year, we organize training programs for senior cadres
from the industry. We also publish internally circulated
periodicals, like Insurance Tendency and Special Issue of
Insurance, to further our communication with the industry.
Today, with full confidence, all members of our Institute
are trying our best to shape the International Insurance
Institute of Fudan University into an influential research
center for insurance theory and to make greater contribution
to the development of China's insurance industry.
